Once again it is Valentine's Day....
I don't like Valentine's Day because I don't really
like being told when to be romantic and giving...
BUT
I do like the aesthetics of it.
All the pink and red and hearts!
LOVE IT.

I especially like that it's an excuse to dress ultra feminine in reds and pinks.
And of course in a dress...and if you're me, it'll probably be a vintage dress.
Thus we have the focus of my Valentine's day post.
VINTAGE RED AND PINK DRESSES!
(yay!)

I love an excuse to post about super girly vintage dresses.
Anything that has a sweatheart neckline and tulle is pretty awesome in my books.
PLUS I LOVE RED SHOES WITH A PINK DRESS.
You can't beat that combo....
really...you can't.

This one (above) is not actually vintage, but vintage inspired.
It's sooooo effing perfect and cute for Valentine's Day
(or any day really)
that I am veeeery tempted to buy it up!

This dress (above) I found on a girl's wedding related blog.
She bought it with the intention of wearing it for her wedding and then sold it when she found a supposedly "more perfect" dress.
My question is:
How could you possibly find a dress more perfect than this?
I wish I had known that she was selling it when she was because I would have been very interested in it for my own wedding!

This red dress is perfection.
How could you ever be sad in a dress like that?

Love the mix of this girl's copper hair, dark pink dress and dark red shoes.
Whoever said that pink and red clash should be shot.
Well maybe thats a bit extreme.
They should be SLAPPED.
(same goes for red and orange & red and purple)

I don't know if this is vintage but I love it.
It's so fluffy and flirty.

So this is MY favourite feminine vintage PINK dress.
I think it's probably my favourite vintage purchase ever.
It is a 50s party dress.
The first pic (above) is accessorizing it to enhance the
feminine 50s sweetness.
and the second is keeping it slightly more modern and rockin!

ReplyDeletewhere did you find the pink ball gown dress that is the 4th one down i cant find it anywhere!
ReplyDeleteThe fourth dress down.. I am in love with it, I have searched website after website for about 4 months now, and I can't find it anywhere! I've tried getting in contact with people to track it down, but it's nowhere to be found. I don't think I can find a more perfect dress :( The source provided is the one that is mostly given on other blogs, but doesn't seem to be any help. If anyone can help me find it, it would be very much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteWhat blog did you find that fourth dress on?
